About Vanguard

Joshua P. Smith began his career as an employee benefit specialist over 20 years ago after moving over from the financial sector. Throughout this time he has helped businesses, large and small, find creative solutions to their company’s specific employee benefit needs.

As President of Vanguard Benefit Solutions, LLC, Josh combines his experience with the most advanced industry technology to provide his clients with the fastest and most efficient service possible.

Josh is a fully licensed agent in Health, Life and Accident as well as Property and Casualty Insurance. Other insurance products Josh provides include Dental, Vision, Long and Short-Term Disability, Life Insurance, Long Term Care and 401K Plans. His group insurance accolades include Chairman Level Producer for Aetna, Elite Broker Status for Empire, Gold Status for United Healthcare and Oxford and Gold Producer Status for Guardian.

Josh holds a B.A. in Psychology from SUNY at Buffalo. A resident of New City, New York, Josh and his wife Sherri, enjoy sailing and bike riding with their two beautiful children, Benjamin and Madeline. Josh is also a Den Leader in Pack 46 of the local Boy Scout Chapter.

Jonah Smith is a Senior Account Executive at Vanguard Benefit Solutions. Jonah is a licensed broker in Life, Accident and Health in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and Pennsylvania. He specializes in small groups and takes pride in providing a very personal, hands on approach with his clients.

He is a graduate of the University of Vermont with a B.A in Liberal Arts. In addition to insurance, Jonah’s other passion is music. He has recorded seven albums of original music and has toured internationally with his band for the last decade.
